From releasing through some of the most prominent drum & bass labels within dance music, right through to the launch of his own #Snake_Pit_Records imprint, #Audio has embarked on a journey which stretches over the genre’s pivotal trends. And from the beginning Audio has been an artist whose output has proved unstoppable; the onslaught of music which has followed in his footsteps, as both under his solo name Audio and as part of the collaborative project Killbox with Ed Rush, has continued at a high standard over decades. After the success of previous singles ‘#Darkseid’ and ‘#Frog_March’, which amassed thousands of streams online within a few short days, he makes a welcome return with his next record ‘#Dead_Stock’.
‘Dead Stock’ sees Audio draw for the part of his career which made him a notorious figure amongst the darker side, a place where he came under the guise of mainstay labels. Virus Recordings soon took him into their roster, and it was here that Audio released his many groundbreaking albums. Fans have been expecting Audio to pay homage to this sound through his recent work and ‘Dead Stock’ does this through a more contemporary insight, focusing on the stripped back, but heavyweight sonics which done untold damage on dancefloors across the globe.
‘Dead Stock’ is a powerful track which makes itself felt through a slightly delayed drop before it pushes you through a winding breakdown, pepped with pounding kicks and drum patterns which create a weighty forward motion. This track has already been unleashed throughout his hectic touring schedule, one that’s taken him to some of the world’s biggest venues, whether that’s in the UK, Poland or further afield. Listeners can also expect to hear ‘Dead Stock’ at one of his forthcoming dates, including at this year’s We are Electric, Let it Roll and Rampage on Air festivals.
The release showcases yet more material from Snake Pit Records, a platform which has only just been announced but a label already dominating worldwide set lists. Audio’s funneled his historic role within the genre into Snake Pit and this can clearly be heard through its forthcoming releases.
